In recognition of our 20th anniversary, BMWCSA has established two annual $1000 bursaries to be awarded to SAIT students in the Automotive Service Technology Apprentice Program in the School of Transportation according to the following criteria:
- Second period or higher apprentice student
- Financial need – weighted 60%
- Mature student (25 years or older) – weighted 40%
- Must be a resident of Southern Alberta (South of Red Deer)
- Preference given to a student with dependents
The Club has undertaken a three-year commitment to these bursaries and the first bursaries will be awarded in May 2017. Thanks to the support of members and sponsors we have met our 2016 and 2017 target and are on our way towards our 2018 target. Find a list of participants at MEMBERSHIP/EVENTS.
Watch for a variety of fundraising opportunities throughout the year where you can get involved in this give-back to our community. Watch for the helmet that will be passed around at every event and help out with your spare change.
If you wish to make a cash donation towards the bursary fund, you can do that by cheque made out to BMWCSA or on Eventbite by clicking the button below or at the top of the Bulletin Board. Once in Eventbrite, click on GET TICKETS, enter the amount of your donation and CHECK OUT. Then just fill in the blanks to complete your donation. All Donors are recognized unless you ask for anonymity. No donation values will be published unless you request otherwise.
